Reptile and amphibian merit badge class
Saturday, December 15th, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Did you know that we're certified to teach Boy Scout merit badge classes? This class is for Boy Scouts who want to get the reptile and amphibian merit badge.The class is two hours long, and you'll be able to fulfill all the requirements for the merit badge during that time.
At The Tye-dyed Iguana you also get exclusive access to requirement 8. Requirement 8a requires the scout to maintain a reptile / amphibian for one month. Requirement 8b requires the scout observe a reptile / amphibian for three months. All attendees of our class will receive 20% a reptile purchase to satisfy requirement 8a, or can have access to our display animals to fulfill requirement 8b.

GloFish party
Saturday, January 19th, 9 a.m.
Each of our GloFish parties consists of an interactive Gloria the GloFish story for your child, as they watch the glofish in our aquarium.
This hands-on class allows each child to build their own glofish aquarium from our kits. Each child also receives a certificate for a free glofish at the party.
The price of registration for this class depends on what type of glofish tank you would like to have your child build. We have three packages. The $30 package includes a 1.5 gallon tank. The $40 package includes a 3 gallon bubbling tank. And the $50 package includes a 5 gallon tank.

Snake School 101
Thursdays, 6 p.m., January 17th through February 14th
Snake School is our hands-on reptile and amphibian handling class where kids aged approximately 9 to 16 get to learn exactly what it is our staff does when taking care of the animals. If your kids are interested in taking their reptile and amphibian hobby further than just pet ownership, this is the place for them.
In this 5 week course, we’ll be teaching skills they can use to go into a career in herp husbandry. After completion, there are higher level courses available to continue their reptile and amphibian education. Each class is 2 hours long, and the fee is $150 for the 5 weeks.
