Live Dubia Roaches
Dubia roaches are a favorite feeder with keepers and their animals. They're meaty, packed with protein, and easy to keep. Unlike crickets, they're quiet, have almost no smell, and can't climb smooth plastic or glass, so a smooth-sided tub keeps them put. They also live for months, so you can buy in bulk without losing them.
Sizes:
- Small (1/4–3/8"): babies and juveniles, like young leopard geckos and baby bearded dragons
- Medium (1/2–5/8"): growing juveniles
- Large (3/4–1.25"): adult geckos and young bearded dragons
- XL (1.25"+): adult bearded dragons, monitors, tegus and other big eaters
Tips from our team:
- Pick a roach no longer than the space between your animal's eyes.
- Gut load them for 24 hours before feeding, and dust with calcium right before they go in.
- Keep them in a smooth-sided container with egg crate for climbing space, roach food or fresh fruits and veggies, and water crystals instead of an open dish.
- They're happiest warm. Room temperature works, and if you're keeping them a while, a little extra heat keeps them active.
